Why do the sliding closet doors touch each other? The back door go on the track. The front rubs and pops off.

Vlarry G asked:

Closet wood sliding doors replacement. The back door goes on the track nicely. When angeling the front door they touch and we can get only one side of the front on, because the screws touch the back door. What can be done to hang both doors securely?

Need Spanish Translation for House Interior Design?

young_im87 asked:

Downstairs:
Living room with all the furnishings. One easy chair and two large sofas. A fireplace for when it gets cold during the winter.
Dining room with a large dining table and many chairs for when we have dinner parties. A chandelier would make the room look more elegant.
Kitchen with expensive appliances. Large refrigerator for all the food. Dishwasher because I hate to do the dishes. Stove and oven to cook the meals. There would be one bathroom downstairs with only a toilet and sink.
Upstairs:
One master bedroom and five regular bedrooms. The master bedroom would have a king size bed and large walk-in closet for all the clothes. Each of the other bedrooms would have queen size beds with smaller closets.
The master bedroom would have its own bathroom with an large shower, toilet, and sink. There would be two other bathrooms upstairs with regular showers, toilets, and sinks.

My grandparents are letting me design my room! Need teenager ideas, help?

Julia asked:

Hey Yahoo Answers,
OK, so I’m moving back home to my room that I left when I was ten and I used to stay in all two months of summer since. Now I am moving back in, I’m fifteen, I’ll be sixteen in March. So anyhow, my Granny and Pops are letting me do whatever I want to it, because I really want a fresh start and I want to change that room up a bit, make it more like a teenagers room and make it funky! I’m super excited (it’s nice to be excited and have something to think about until Monday). So anyhow, I get new EVERYTHING, from the floor to the the paint to the electronics to the furniture. And my Pops is making it so that I have a bathroom connected to my bedroom, and that’s the only entrance, so I’m getting my own BATHROOM! Super awesome! But I need some help, please.

Teenagers, what should I do? It’s so much design work! We are talking out the carpet and getting hardwood floor, and extending the closet, plus the door to my now, very own, bathroom! I don’t know what colour to paint my room! I have a large bay window and a side, normal window.

I need all new furniture- I want…a queen size bed, a desk, two end tables, a hide-a-bed couch, a chair for just sitting on, and a desk chair.

I need electronics- I want…a camera, a laptop, an iPod, a TV, a DVD player, cell phone and printer.

And anything else…

Can you help me with links you like and opinions on what brand I should get for what…ideas are what I am looking for.

And maybe some outfit and make-up help. I like preppy stores and my hair is blonde, I have fair skin and emerald, green eyes.

Thanks so much!!

Julia.

BTW…I am NOT a spolied brat, you would have to have lived in my shoes for the last five years at my mom and step-dad’s house to understand that. My grandparents are re-doing their whole house, and now that I’m moving in, it gives my Granny one more thing to change (she loves change) and my Pops one more thing to fix and work on (he always needs to be busy and likes to use his hands). Plus, I think they are just so excited for me to be back, and this is my Christmas and Birthday presents too. Plus my daddy is buying lots of the electronics, he hasn’t seen me in forever and I’m his only child, his only family, and it’s Christmas and Birthday stuff as well.

Thanks!

Julia.

What is the quickest, most efficient way to install closet doors on a track for a 40 year old house?

Elaine A asked:

I am purchasing an older home (about 40 years old), and the measurements of most of the closets are taller and wider than standard, newer homes (approximately 144 inches wide and 95 inches high). The previously-installed closets were on tracks and bi-folded. What would you recommend I use as replacement closet doors for these? Also, I need them before Monday (two full days from now).

Anthony

How do you replace closet doors that aren’t a standard size?

jacobsroom asked:

I’ve got a metal bi-fold closet door in my bedroom which probably dates back to the mid-1970s. It never open and shut easily, but now it’s completely come off its tracks — so I’d like to take this opportunity to replace it. The problem is that it’s 8 feet tall (floor-to-ceiling) and standard closet door sizes are now only 80 inches (6 feet, 8 inches) tall. According to the folks at Lowes, it would cost me $400 to get a very ugly hollow-core door custom-made and installed — way more than I’d want to pay for ANY closet door!!

Any suggestions on how to replace my closet door in a reasonably inexpensive way — or who else I might contact to get information about how to address this issue? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Michael

We want to remodel our kitchen and the problem is that the washer and dryer are in it behind closet doors.

fyrechick asked:

we have a house that has the washer and dryer off to the side in the kitchen behind bifold doors. I would like to take down the faux closet and doors and utilize that space more without the washer and dryer sticking out. I have seen that one way to do this is to have front end loaders and build a cabinet/ countertop around them so it blends in with the rest of the coutertops in the kitchen. Any other alternative ideas? Thanks

Where can I price out closet doors online?

Reens asked:

In my bedroom there are two seperate closets next to each other and I would like to make it one big closet by knocking out the wall in between. First, is this a bigger project than I think? On the inside there is only about 6 inches in between closets, but the outside is about 2 feet.

I am having trouble pricing out doors online. Because it will be a 76″ opening, I would like to get bifold doors instead of sliding doors. I’m not looking to spend a lot either.

Any advice is greatly appreciated…

Jim
